Art Through The Loom (ATTL) is thrilled to announce an exciting lineup of upcoming events that promise to ignite the passion for fiber arts within our community. ATTL meets the 4th Thursday of the month from 1:00-3:00 p.m. during the following months of the year:
February, April, June, August, October, & December. Please contact Kathy Konecki at: kakonecki@gmail.com for the location of the meeting. All are WELCOME to attend a meeting before joining to see what ATTL is all about. We are a spirited cooperative group!

Art Through The Loom guild member, Maria Jonsson of Mia Designs, is being featured in a one-woman show titled Naturens Rytmer  (Rhythms of Nature) at the Raoul Wallenberg Gallery in the Swedish American Museum in Chicago IL. The show will hang for over 3 months at the North Clark Street location.

2025 RECYCLE SANTA FE ARTS FESTIVAL

Date: November 14-16, 2025

Location: Santa Fe Convention Center
Santa Fe, NM

Two members of ATTL, Margee Barth & Barbara Marigold, have been accepted into the Recycle Santa Fe Art Festival which is the largest & longest running recycled art market in the USA. More than 90 artists will showcase their original works made from reused materials.

Date: November 14-16, 2025 

Location: Denver, CO 

Art Through The Loom guild member, Gail Russell of Gail Russell Art & Apparel, will be selling her work at the Mile High Holiday Market, in Denver, CO on November 14-16, 2025. She will be offering photographs on textiles, bandanas, Sallygators, and luxury fiber shawls and scarves.

FALL FIBER FIESTA

Date: November 21-23, 2025 

Location: Scottish Rite Masonic Temple 

Santa Fe, NM 

Art Through The Loom guild will have a booth in the FFF show which is sponsored by the Española Fiber Arts Center. Three ATTL members; Lorraine Gruys, Gloria Padilla, & Jennifer Una, will offer their hand crafted items for sale. In addition to the Guild booth, members Kathy Konecki, Barbara Marigold, Liane Brown, Victoria Collins, Mia Jonsson, and Mari Quillman will have individual booths at the show.

2025 QUE SERA ALPACA RANCH OPEN HOUSE

Date: November 29, 2025

Location: Que Sera Alpaca Ranch
Eldorado of Santa Fe area

Que Sera will host its annual Open House in November on Small Business Saturday. In addition to spending time with the alpacas, there will also be: demonstrations, live music, a food truck, & vendors. Come out and enjoy the fun!

Art Through The Loom guild member, Kathy Konecki of Necessary Little Luxuries, Vortex of Contemporary Southwest Textile Fibers, was selected by the Albuquerque Fiber Arts Council for the Threads Through Time exhibit. It will be displayed throughout the month of December at the Fusion Gallery in Albuquerque.

2026 ATTL ARTISTS’ STUDIO DeSTASH SALE

Date: April 11, 2026

Location: St. John’s Methodist Church
Santa Fe, NM

Art Through The Loom guild will host an Artists’ Studio DeStash & Weftover sale in April 2026. Members of the Guild will offer for sale studio items they no longer use to create their fiber arts creations. Both raw materials & tools will be offered to the public at significantly discounted prices.

Art Through The Loom guild will host their annual fiber arts sale in February 2026. Beautiful hand crafted creations will be offered for sale.

2025 TAOS WOOLS FESTIVAL

Date: October 4-5, 2025

Location: Revolt Gallery
Taos, NM

Art Through The Loom had a booth at the Taos Wools Festival. The event was held on October 4- 5, 2025 at the Revolt Gallery in Taos, NM. Three members of the guild; Kathy Konecki, Glenna Dean, and Liane Brown sold knitted wearables, hand spun wolf/buffalo yarns, and hand dyed yarns using natural dyes, in addition to the ATTL Dye Kits. An additional member, Gail Russell, had a second booth with a focus on selling photographs on textiles and wearable fiber art made of luxury fibers. The show was very well attended.

2025 REIMAGINARY FRIENDS @ FULLER LODGE

Date: October 4, 2025

Location: Fuller Lodge
Los Alamos, NM

ATTL member, Margee Barth, participated at a show held at the Fuller Lodge in Los Alamos in October.  She shared her “reimaginary friends” which are plush animals made of recycled materials. The Doxie shown in the photo is made from recycled knit wear & fabric…he is wearing a dog tag made from a Santa Fe Brewing Company aluminum can.

2025 ATTL ARTISTS’ STUDIO DeSTASH SALE

Date: June 28, 2025

Location: St. John’s Methodist Church
Santa Fe, NM

Art Through The Loom hosted an Artists’ StudioDeStash Sale in June 2025. Fifteen artists offered both raw materials & tools at significantly discounted prices. There was everything from raw fiber, to yarn, fabric, beads, spinning equipment, wet and dry felting materials, display racks, etc.

2025 ATTL RENDEZVOUS FIBER ARTS SALE

Date: February 1-2, 2025

Location: St Johns Methodist Church
Santa Fe, NM

Art Through The Loom hosted a textile show and artists’ studio de-stash sale in February 2025. Eleven guild members offered their fiber arts creations to the public. The show was well attended and sales were brisk!

2024 LIVE ALPACA AT THE CHILDREN’S MUSEUM

Date: October 12, 2024

Location: Santa Fe Children’s Museum
Santa Fe, NM

ATTL sponsored a live alpaca & fiber arts educational event hosted by the Santa Fe Children’s Museum in October 2024. The SFCM had record attendance on the day of the event. Guild members demonstrated carding and spinning on both a spinning wheel and a traditional Navajo knee spindle. Kid’s craft activities included; wet felting of alpaca fiber and weaving of bracelets and/or bookmarks. Educational alpaca coloring books and crayons were given to children in attendance as a take away. The alpaca received many pets and handfuls of food from fascinated children and adults alike.

2024 Mountain and Valley Wool Festival

Date: October 5-6, 2024

Location: Santa Fe County Fairgrounds, Santa Fe, NM

An upcoming event where the Art Through The Loom members will have a sales booth is the annual Mountain And Valley Wool Festival at the Santa Fe County Fairgrounds, which is hosted by the Mountain and Valley Wool Association (MAVWA). Art Through The Loom members will have items made from various animal fibers and will demonstrate their production techniques. Art Through The Loom has been participating in this event for many years and looks forward to a great show this year.

2024 ATTL Rendezvous Fiber Arts Sale

Date: February 10-11, 2024

Location: St John’s Methodist Church, Santa Fe, NM

Art Through The Loom guild hosted a textile show and Artists’ Studio De-Stash Sale in February of 2024, just before Valentine’s Day.  It was a bit chilly and snowy outside but the energy inside was warm and wonderfully positive.  Nine guild members sold handmade fiber goods of various types and the de-stash table almost sold out on both days. The attendance by the public was very good for this event.

2024 The Big Read

May 4, 2024

Southside Library, Santa Fe, NM

Art Through The Loom hosted a fiber arts activity component in support of the Santa Fe Southside Library’s “Big Read” event in May of 2024.  The “Big Read” event focused on the book, entitled Circe, by Madeline Miller.  Circe, the main character in the book was a weaver so the activities provided by Art Through The Loom members also focused on weaving and supporting fiber activities. Weaving demonstrations on floor and table looms were done and a craft activity for kids included weaving a bookmark. Alpacas from the Rockin Q Ranch in Ribera, New Mexico attended and were enjoyed by everyone. Art Through The Loom members also demonstrated carding and spinning alpaca fiber and doing needle felting. Coloring books focused on alpacas and knitted wrist cuffs were provided to the kids who attended the event.

2023 Mountain and Valley Wool Festival

Date: October 7-8, 2023

Location:Santa Fe County Fairgrounds, Santa Fe, NM

Art Through The Loom had a sales booth at the Mountain and Vally Wool Festival, which was hosted by the Mountain and Valley Wool Association. The event was held on October 7 and 8, 2023 at the Santa Fe County Fairgrounds.  Five members from the guild were selling woven rugs and placemats, needle felted animals, hand spun wolf and buffalo yarns, and knitted wearables.  Two additional members occupied a second booth with a focus on selling alpaca fiber products, including alpaca fleeces, yarns, dryer balls, and woven and knitted items.

2023 From The Alpaca To The Hat

Art Through The Loom guild hosted a very successful event at the Southside Library in Santa Fe called, “Come Meet the Alpacas: From the Alpaca to the Hat.” Approximately 200 people came out to pet and feed alpacas from the Rockin Q Ranch in Ribera, NM.  Ten guild members demonstrated carding, spinning, knitting, and needle felting.  A touch and learn “petting zoo” showed photos of different animals and included a touchable, knitted swatch of each animal’s fur or fiber.  A kid’s craft activity included wet felting a coaster or decorated square of alpaca fiber.  Alpaca coloring books and crayons were given to the kids and knitted bracelets, using donated alpaca yarn were sold for a small price, the proceeds of which went to the guild.

2023 Rendezvous Fiber Arts Sale

Date: May 6-7, 2023

Location: Montezuma Lodge, Santa Fe, NM

What began as a rag rug exhibit and sale several years ago evolved into an annual textile sale that includes fashion (hand-woven, hand knitted, quilted, repurposed, up-cycled, jewelry), rugs (handwoven, hooked and rag rugs), creative and whimsical creations (dolls, toys, stuffed animals), and hand spun and hand dyed yarns.  Twelve artists from Art Through The Loom participated in the sale in May of 2023 at Montezuma Lodge in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Live music during the show was well received, as was the raffle, which was supported by the participating members.
